It was a beautiful day Saturday to attend the Kansas Grown Farmers Market. I highly recommend Pat's Beef Jerky. As you can see my package is empty. I should have bought some of the other flavors, teriyaki or peppered. I will next time. Also tried Spicy J's inspired Coffee Rub. Intensely good!

This is a must go to place if you are in Wichita during the weekend! I was visiting from Tennessee, and went specifically to see Gregory Cole of Good Life Company for his Little Bits Gourmet Cookie Bites (of course I snagged a few bags to take home!) There are many talented people there, and I enjoyed talking with a potter, bought honey, and found a house warming cutting board from a wood carver. I would have bought more if I hadn't been on my way out of state again! The produce looked so beautiful!

I love spending Saturday mornings at the Farmer's Market! In times like now where inflation is through the roof, I appreciate prices staying consistent at the market. I love being able to support local businesses and people that help pour back into my community. The Kansas Grown Market is a great place for produce, pre-made meals, bread, salsa, jams, homemade bath and body products, pet products, and pieces from local artists. You can find almost everything you need there! The vendors and kind and great to talk with. Go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds a bit (it gets VERY busy by 10am) and find a decent parking spot. Also be sure to get some breakfast at Paranormal Eggsperience! Their Squatch Tots are amazing!!! The K-State Extension Office is also a great resource for all things plants!! Their sample garden is beautiful and a fun location to sit and relax! Check out the Kansas Grown Market as soon as you can!

This place was great! There were so many booths with great items to buy. The salted chocolate chip caramel cookie from Baked by Mavis was soooo good. My husband loved the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. I haven't tried the lemon bar yet, but I'm sure they will be great. Spicy J's Seasonings were awesome. They have something for everyone. They gave me suggestions for my taste, gave suggestions on what to use it on, and let me sample before buying. Natural to the corr's pretzels come in different sizes and have plenty of flavors. I bought the garlic parmesan and I couldn't stop eating them. Atteniv euphoric candle co. were lovely. These four melts were my favorite. They smell heavenly. They last so long, so you really get a bang for your buck. We bought some tomatoes as well. Check this farmers market out, I would go early before it gets too hot. 10/10

We have been attending this particular farmer's market for many years. Seasonal veggies and beef, pork, and chicken from local farms and ranches to market are so much better tasting. The friendly person-to-person interaction with the purveyors and fellow buyers is always delightful. Do not ignore the many varieties of incredible baked goods and various other offerings you would expect to find at a large local farmer's market. Two favorites are Phil's Farms (beef, pork, chicken, etc) on the southside of the market and the hard-working older couple's veggie stand from Chanute. They are located outside the SW corner of the main building, always with the long line before 7 AM. Don't miss Neff Farm's produce two booths away, either. A must-have are Marie's delicious citrus cookies from her tables on the north side of the market. Enjoy!

Lots of vendors with many types of foods and treats. Excellent atmosphere. I've purchased fresh vegetables, delicious breads, pastries, meats and cheeses. There are lots of people attending, so be patient driving in and out. Plenty of parking.

I am never disappointed in this market. There is always a wide array of farm fresh meat and produce, eggs, plants, flowers... there's always live music and row after row of vendors. There's also local bakers and artisans that make everything from pork rinds to soap to jewelry. I make a point to go every other weekend and always leave with armloads of stuff, much to the chagrin of my wallet. Absolute best market I've been to.

It is always a good time at the farmer's market. There is usually music playing there is barbecue as well as all of the things you can purchase in the way of vegetables and crafts and if it can. Be grown you can find it at this farmer's market. The vendors love to share their knowledge of how they grew it. What it's good for even vegetables. I have never used before they've got great ideas for helping. You to take it home and fix it up and make it very tasty and ediblooking forward to this coming Saturday June 3rd. If my calendar is right this is kid's day at the farmer's market. I plan to take the kids I know it will be a grand time.
